Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Linux Kernel Developer. The Linux Kernel Developer will be responsible for programming, debugging, software development, Linux Kernel, and embedded Linux. They will work on improving the Linux Kernel and related applications, as well as developing new features and functionality. The Linux Kernel Developer will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting existing code and systems.

Qualifications
  • Programming and software development skills
  • Debugging skills
  • Experience with Linux Kernel and embedded Linux
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience working with Free Software communities is a plus

UNIX System Administrator as volunteer is needed

Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a UNIX System Administrator. The UNIX System Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day administration and technical support of the organization’s UNIX FreeBSD, OpenBSD and GNU/Linux-based systems. Tasks include troubleshooting, system administration, and maintenance of operating systems. And also contributing to the foundations such as Free Software Foundation.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and experience in System Administration and Troubleshooting
  • Experience in providing Technical Support
  • Proficiency in Operating Systems and BSDs and GNU/Linux System Administration
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, and automation tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in cybersecurity is a plus
  • Contributions to the Free Software projects is a plus
